Volunteer

"When people come together with a shared purpose, lives are changed. We're grateful to have Lulu leading and supporting the volunteers who help make that possible."

Meet Lulu Storrusten,
Volunteer Coordinator

At Stoke the Spark Collective, our volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do, and we're excited to introduce Lulu Storrusten as our Volunteer Coordinator.

Lulu has a genuine passion for serving others and creating meaningful connections within our community. She plays an essential role in welcoming, supporting, and coordinating the incredible volunteers who make our mission possible. From helping new volunteers get involved to ensuring our events and youth cohorts are well-supported, Lulu helps create an environment where every volunteer feels valued and equipped to make a difference.

Her heart for people, attention to detail, and servant leadership embody the mission of Stoke the Spark Collective—to ignite hope, foster belonging, and build a stronger future for the next generation.

Special Initiative: Summer Under the Stars 2027

Summer Under the Stars is an exciting teen initiative offered during preferred later hours to address summer loneliness and give youth a safe, engaging space to meet peers. It takes a complete team to make this a success!

The Experience

We are bringing together a vibrant mix of activities and resources, including:

Entertainment & Games: Live music, creative showcases, and interactive group challenges.

Food & Local Vendors: Delicious food trucks, local creators, and community booths.

Youth Resources: Vital mental wellness support and career development networks.

It Takes a Team

From the first tent pole to the final clean-up, our dedicated crew handles everything in between to ensure a secure, world-class experience. Our team manages:

Set-Up & Tear-Down: Seamless logistics and operations.

Safety & Security: Vetted, professional teams monitoring the space.

Vendor & Activity Support: Guiding games and hosting youth with excellence.

No teenager should feel isolated this summer. Join us as a guest, a volunteer, or a partner to help stoke the spark!

Be the Difference. Become a Mentor.

Isolation is heavy, but a supportive community is unshakeable. At Stoke the Spark Collective, we are launching 6- to 8-week small-group youth cohorts designed to foster resilience, connection, and mental wellness. We need vetted, passionate adult mentors to show up, listen, and help local youth realize their spark matters. You don’t need to be perfect; you just need to be present.

Building Community, One Connection at a Time.

No one should have to walk through life alone. At Stoke the Spark Collective, we host free, local community events designed to bring neighbors, youth, and families together in Snohomish County. From seasonal gatherings to casual meetups, our events create safe, joyful spaces to build the supportive ecosystem our youth need to thrive. Come exactly as you are—you belong here.

Service Equals Purpose: Partnering for Impact

We believe that true purpose is found in serving others. Stoke the Spark Collective collaborates with local organizations and shelters to bring community, hope, and connection directly to youth facing hardship. By anchoring our volunteer services in these vital spaces, we stoke the spark of resilience where it is needed most. Partner with us to build a bridge of support for every young person in our community.

Fuel the Mission: Become a Fundraising Volunteer

To keep our youth cohorts, shelter programs, community events, and Summer Under the Stars events 100% free, we rely on a dedicated ecosystem of supporters. We need passionate volunteers to help us fuel the mission behind the scenes! Whether you love planning charity events, writing grant proposals, connecting with local business sponsors, or setting up crowdfunding campaigns like Givebutter, your skills can create a lasting impact. Help us ensure financial barriers never stand in the way of a young person finding connection.
