The Makers Circle
A Sewing & Mentorship Cohort for Girls Ages 12–16
The Makers Circle is more than a sewing class—it's a place to create, connect, and belong.
Designed for just six girls ages 12–16, this 12-week, adult-led mentorship cohort combines hands-on sewing instruction with guided discussions, confidence-building, and meaningful peer connection in a welcoming and encouraging environment.
Whether participants have never touched a sewing machine or are eager to grow their skills, each girl will be supported every step of the way as she learns new techniques, creates projects she can be proud of, and builds lasting friendships with other girls her age.
Throughout the cohort, caring mentors will lead conversations that encourage personal growth, resilience, communication, and self-confidence while fostering a community where every participant is known, valued, and supported.
Each participant will receive:
- Use of her own sewing machine during every cohort session
- All fabrics, sewing supplies, and project materials
- Weekly guided instruction and hands-on sewing experience
- Adult mentorship and meaningful peer connection
- Snacks and refreshments each week
